Art Program

Carden Conservatory’s Art Program

Carden Conservatory’s art program features periods of instruction, as well as periods of self-expression. We encourage the appreciation of the beauty of art, while exposing the students to a variety of media, such as drawing, sculpture and painting. Students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade experience daily art instruction, and our Fifth through Eighth Grade participate in weekly art classes.

Students will learn and review the glossary of art terms, as well as learn about the artists, architecture and important artworks from each Art History time period, from Cave Art to Modern Art. Each child will produce artworks similar and related to the time periods in art, to further enhance their knowledge of each period. The children’s creativity builds through fun art activities that also teach them key art concepts (perspective, proportion, portraits, landscapes, seascapes, etc.).
