The Carden Summer Camp is designed to offer your child an exciting summer filled with fun and activities. All school age children are eligible to attend and will be offered an organized and safe program of activities that offer optimum and memorable summer fun. Program/Schedule |
|
The Carden Summer Camp will begin Monday, June 9 th and conclude Friday, August 29 th. We will be closed on Friday, July 4 th in observance of Independence Day. Children are welcome to come to our half-day program until 12:30 p.m., an extended day program until 3:00, or on a full time basis, from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Half day students may choose one course from the Camp Options List. Extended day students may choose two options and full day students may choose three options.

Activities |
|
Each month full of educational programs and fun activities, will enhance learning and stimulate young minds. Daily, the children will participate in crafts and academics, as well as organized outdoor activities. On a weekly basis, activities will include water days, hikes, roller-skating, and many more educational and fun programs. Please see the attached activity list for more details.

Registration |
|
Advance registration for Summer Camp begins now. The non-refundable enrollment deposit is $125.00 per child and is due by June 1 st, 2008. Half of this enrollment deposit will be applied towards your first month’s tuition.

|
Water Days |
|
During the week, we will participate in free swimming in our small play pool at Carden. Each child will need to bring a bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen, labeled with his/her name.
|
|
Field Trips |
|
Each month we will host a few in-house extracurricular activities such as a golf tournament. Fees for participation are due in advance.
|
|
Snacks & Lunches |
|
Children who are attending on a full time basis should bring a morning and afternoon snack, as well as a sack lunch. For those who want to try something different, the Snack Bar will have several lunch options for purchase such as Hot Pockets, Cup o Noodles, Bagel Bites, etc.

Attached Forms |
|
Please return the attached forms when you register your child. When we receive your registration forms for summer, we will hold a space for your child in our program for the days and times you have requested. Please make sure to choose your camp options. Please let us know if your plans change.

Payments |
|
The due date for your tuition is the 1st of each month. A $10.00 late fee will be assessed if tuition is not paid by the 5th of each month. In order to provide proper staffing and activities for the Summer Program, we cannot refund any missed days.

INDEPENDENT STUDY I |
|
Individualized study programs are available for elementary students either in need of remedial work or summer enrichment.
Hourly rate of $30.00 is applied for independent study. Times set up on an individual basis .

PRIVATE MUSIC LESSONS |
|
Private lessons in your choice of piano, guitar, drum, and voice. Lessons may be ½ hour to one hour in length.
Hourly rate of $37.50 is applied for private lessons. Times set up on an individual basis.

|
JUMP START KINDERGARTEN |
|
This course is designed for students who are entering Kindergarten in the fall, or for those students who have late birthdays. This course will focus on Reading, Carden phonics, Mathematics, and Printing. Kindergarten Readiness Testing is a prerequisite for enrollment.

ALGEBRA I |
|
This course is designed to introduce students to Algebra. Students will learn the basic properties of solving linear equations, graphing, factoring, and applications. 7th – 9th grade students.
Mandatory for students enrolling in the 8th grade this fall.
