Preschool

Carden Conservatory Preschool is where the joy of learning begins. Located on our campus at 5702 Clark Drive in Huntington Beach, our preschool offers a warm, nurturing environment where children ages two through five develop the academic foundations, social confidence, and personal character that will serve them for a lifetime.

Our preschool is guided by the same whole-child philosophy that defines the Carden Conservatory experience — one that values curiosity, kindness, creativity, and thoughtful instruction in equal measure. Small class sizes mean every child is truly seen and known. Our dedicated faculty brings expertise, patience, and genuine love for early childhood education to every single day.

From the earliest circle time to our enrichment programs in music, Spanish, and art, preschool at Carden Conservatory is designed to make children feel capable, confident, and excited to learn.

Two Year-Old Program

Our Two Year-Old Program is a gentle, play-centered introduction to the school experience. Taught by Ms. Elayna Shaw, this program helps our youngest learners build social skills, develop early language and number awareness, and begin the routines that lay the groundwork for preschool success — all in a safe, loving, and joyful environment.

Potty training is fully supported within the daily schedule, so families can feel confident that their child’s individual needs are met with care and patience throughout the day.

Junior Kindergarten

Junior Kindergarten is designed for children who are approaching Kindergarten readiness and need one more year of preparation before making that leap. It is a full, enriching program in its own right — not simply a waiting room for Kindergarten. JK students develop the academic skills, emotional maturity, and social confidence they need to thrive when they enter Kindergarten, whether at Carden Conservatory or elsewhere.

At Carden Conservatory, we evaluate Kindergarten readiness based on the whole child — emotional readiness, academic ability, stamina, and development — rather than birth date alone. Junior Kindergarten is a natural and valuable part of that continuum.
